The RPM TL4 Case Packer and Carton Loader Loading Plastic Consumer Products Into RSC Cases
The RPM case packer utilizes a dual-axis collator to group products prior to picking and placing into RSC cases.
The RPM TL4 small-footprint case packer is used in many consumer goods applications, including frozen food, pharmaceuticals, beverage, produce, and CBD. In this application the high-performance machine is packing plastic cartridges into RSC cases. While the requirements for this application was only 160 products per minute, the TL4 can handle up to 450 products per minute.
The product handling infeed system accepts a single stream of randomly spaced products. The products transfer onto an infeed conveyor that inspects the products prior to entering the case packer. The products then transfer into a dual axis collator that creates a pattern of side by side products. RSC cases are automatically positioned for loading, and a flap funnel system opens the cases to accept the products. The proprietary RPM robot, controlled by a Rockwell controls package, picks up products and places them in rows into the RSC cases.
Notable feature:TL4 PDF Spec Sheet ›The end of arm tooling on this machine is designed so that the small products can be gently placed deep into the cases, loading two cases simultaneously.
